DIY 150 mW blu ray laser pointer (uncollimated)
I ordered a 150 mW blu-ray burner diode off of ebay, as well as a driver circuit and a heatsink for the diode. I then added a 9V battery clip and soldered it all together. Finally I put it all inside a minimag flashlight (drilling through the reflector so that the heatsink fitted) and glued the 9V battery clip to the outside of the flashlight.

so did i, i have yet to get it, how long did it take for you to get it and does it burn??
I purchased the diode, driver circuit and heatsink from a seller called Geareb. It has to be quite dark for the beam to be visible.
And what does a driver do exactly, which one did you get from the seller (or who sold it to you? What does uncollimated mean and where did you get the heat sink?
Who was the seller on ebay you bought this from? Can you see the actual beam? It’s hard to tell with the camera, how dark does it have to be to see the beam?
ZOMG, I’M WELL INTO LASERS!!!!!!!! good luck big boy.. ^o)
